What Is Entertainment?

entertaiment

A broad and often indefinite concept, entertainment has a capacity for a great number of forms. It may be a movie watched by one person; a game played on a computer; a banquet adapted for two; or a performance intended for thousands. What entertainment means to the individual can be very different from what it means to another, but familiar forms have demonstrated a remarkable ability to cross over into new media and remain fresh and relevant.

The experience of being entertained has become strongly associated with leisure, so that one not uncommon knowledge of the idea is a sense of fun and laughter. However, many entertainments also have a serious purpose, such as the various styles of ceremony, party, non secular pageant, or satire for example.

Entertaining programs or activities provide a break from monotony and stress. They can also help you refuel your energy tanks while adding joy to your life. Entertainment is a form of recreation that stimulates the brain to realease seratonin and dopamine. Most entertainment hits the points that our minds were evolved to deeply react to, e.g. social backstabbing, murders and other themes in our social world.
